About me
Hello, my name is Tom Casal and I am a certified yoga instructor, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and I am certified in Anatomy Trains Structural Integration. A little about my background: I've been involved in athletics since I was a kid. Due to intense approach to sports, by the time I was in my early twenties, I was dealing with multiple injuries. I started practicing yoga in around '97 to try and heal injuries I accumulated. I caught the yoga bug immediately primarily practicing ashtanga vinyasa which lead me to my first teacher training. I graduated from Raji Thron's Yoga Synthesis teacher training in 2001. After my YTT I found Anusara and began to study the Anusara system with John Friend and other senior Anusara teachers from 2001 to 2010 becoming an Anusara Inspired teacher. I completed multiple teacher trainings with John Friend and attended countless workshops around the country with John and other senior teachers. I also studied yoga philosophy, tantra, and the history of yoga with Douglas Brooks.
I then attended and graduated from the Therapeutic Massage & Training center in Westfield NJ in 2012. In 2018, I attended and graduated from Anatomy Trains Structural Integration school (ATSI) in Maine.
I've been blessed to have had some really amazing teachers. I've been teaching yoga since the early 2000's and in 2009 I started teaching full time. I've been practicing massage therapy since 2012 and Anatomy Trains Structural Integration since 2018.
I am also an avid hiker and nature lover
